1956 Sarah Coventry Golden Maple Demi-Parure
1956 Sarah Coventry Golden Maple Demi-Parure
This Golden Maple brooch and earring demi-parure was introduced in 1956. The brooch features 3 realistic layers of beautifully textured maple leaves. The graduated leaves are topped by a small, gold-tone ball. The brooch measures approximately 2” H x 2” W. It closes with a Locking C clasp. The earrings are exact matches of the brooch. They measure approximately 1½” H x 1 3/8” W and close with a hinged back clasp. The Golden Maple line was shown in the 1956 Fall/Holiday shopping guide. At that time, most jewelry wasn’t signed. Although the brooch itself wasn’t signed, the clasp was stamped SAC. The earrings were signed SAC in a diamond shape on the clips making them the first piece of Sarah Coventry jewelry ever signed. The SAC stood for Sarah Coventry. This beautiful demi-parure is in excellent vintage condition.*
*There is some wear to the gold-tone metal on the earrings. Please refer the photos.
